Poland’s national mail operator Poczta Polska (The Polish Post) wants to
make a belated entry into the CEP segment (courier, express and parcel)
in order to offset the decline in revenues from the delivery of letters
and plans acquisitions.
Poczta Polska wants to take advantage of growth in the e-commerce market, which is expected to expand by 20% this year, Poczta Polska analyst Pawel Majtkowski says.
Analysts are skeptical as to whether the national mail operator can take over any of the bigger players. DHL Express Poland CEO Tomasz Buras recommends organic growth over acquisitions and keeping the CEP business separated from the Post's traditional operations(http://www. warsawvoice.pl /WVpage/pages/article.php/29236/news).
